The Burbank Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 65-54 to Crescenta Valley. Burbank has not had much luck with Crescenta Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Odartey Blankson and Kevin Dehbashian certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Blankson scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and two steals, while Dehbashian scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Dehbashian pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Burbank has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 15 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season. As for Crescenta Valley, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-6.
Burbank will challenge Hoover at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoover has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Crescenta Valley, they will be playing at home against Glendale at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 389th, while Crescenta Valley is ranked 176th).
