On Monday, the Lehi Pioneers faced the Wasatch Wasps in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lehi fell 66-58 to Wasatch. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Lehi still got an impressive performance from Addy Scrivner, who scored 20 points. The game was Scrivner's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Hadlie Warren was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and three steals.
It was another big night for Ashley Garner, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds for Wasatch. The contest was Garner's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Fili Liava'a, who scored 13 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Lehi and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Wasatch, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Lehi will be home for the holidays to greet Timpview at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Timpview is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Wasatch, they will square off against Judge Memorial Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Judge Memorial Catholic is ranked 30th, while Wasatch is ranked 14th).
