The San Jacinto Tigers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Citrus Hill by a score of 73-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Stephen Castleberry was his usual excellent self, scoring 28 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Omar Garcia, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.
Despite the loss, Citrus Hill had strong showings from Kannon Steward, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals, and Jerren White, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Steward has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played. Roland Thibodeaux was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
The win got San Jacinto back to even at 11-11. As for Citrus Hill, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.
San Jacinto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Citrus Hill also has no future games currently scheduled.
