Trinity Prep will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Windermere Prep on Thursday. On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alton Gunther, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Bishop Moore's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Lake Howell by a score of 8-7. Nate Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Lomas, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Trinity Prep has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bishop Moore struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Trinity Prep beat Bishop Moore 4-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Trinity Prep repeat their success, or does Bishop Moore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
