Red Bank is a perfect 10-0 against East Ridge since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Lions will take on the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Red Bank and nine for East Ridge.

Last Friday, Red Bank came up short against McMinn Central and fell 5-1.

Sean Brune spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, Red Bank saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andry Briceno, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Nasir Ellis also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, East Ridge also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Oakwood Christian by a score of 13-8.

Jacob Davis led a balanced group of hitters, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Tyler Madden, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Red Bank's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for East Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Red Bank has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like East Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Red Bank's way against East Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Red Bank made off with a 15-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
