Marbury and Brewbaker Tech are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Rams at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games Marbury has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
On Tuesday, Marbury sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Chilton County. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by exactly two runs.

That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI.
Woodfin wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Sara Roeten, who went 2-for-4 with two runs. That's the most runs Roeten has posted over her last nine games.
Meanwhile, Brewbaker Tech entered their tilt with Stanhope Elmore on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Mustangs 12-2. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Kyra Wallace spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Brewbaker Tech got a massive performance out of Taliah July, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Jaquayla Jarrett was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Marbury is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Brewbaker Tech, their record now sits at 18-15-1.
