Even though the Carver Vo-Tech Bears have not done well against the City College Black Knights recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Carver Vo-Tech made off with a 61-60 win over City College. The win was nothing new for Carver Vo-Tech as they're now sitting on three straight.
Dorrian Sands continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Desmond Handon was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Carver Vo-Tech is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for City College, their defeat ended a 17-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.
Carver Vo-Tech will take on Poly at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Poly is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for City College, they will square off against Benjamin Franklin at TBD on Tuesday.
