The Parkdale Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Crossland Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Parkdale will be strutting in after a victory while the Cavaliers will be coming in after a loss.
Even though High Point scored an imposing 57 points on Thursday, Parkdale still came out on top. Parkdale took their game against the Eagles 64-57. Winning is a bit easier when you make five more threes than your opponent, as Parkdale did.
Mark Freeland was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jairus Giray, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Crossland, who are still winless after their 15th game. They were dealt a 70-34 defeat at the hands of Fairmont Heights on Thursday. Crossland has struggled against the Hornets recently, as their match on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Parkdale's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Crossland, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.
