Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vandegrift). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hutto Hippos a 15-0 shutout on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Vipers in their matchups with the Hippos: they've now won five in a row.

Vandegrift pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.
