The Habersham School Patriots are on the road again on Tuesday and plays the Shiloh Hills Christian Challengers at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
The Habersham School and Alleluia Community squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly The Habersham School had to settle for second. They fell just short of the by a score of 40-37. The Habersham School has struggled against Alleluia Community recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Shiloh Hills Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight defeat. They took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Peachtree Academy. That's two games in a row now that Shiloh Hills Christian has lost by exactly 13 points.
Despite their defeat, Shiloh Hills Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Destiny Blalock, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Blalock hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Keila Fernandes, who scored 21 points.
The Habersham School's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Shiloh Hills Christian, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
