The Franklin County Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indian Creek Braves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Franklin County can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past South Dearborn with points to spare, taking the game 25-7.
Franklin County found their leader in underclassman Wyatt Bowling, who rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Meanwhile, Indian Creek had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 49-7 win over Greensburg. The result was nothing new for Indian Creek, who have now won three matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Indian Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jalen A sauer, who threw for 244 yards and five touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jaxson Keith palmer, who picked up 108 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Franklin County's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Indian Creek, their win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Franklin County has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 172.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Indian Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 168.5 per game. It's looking like Friday's contest might have some serious battles in the trenches.
Franklin County and Indian Creek were almost perfectly matched up in their previous matchup back in October of 2022, but Franklin County suffered an agonizing 37-36 defeat. Can Franklin County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
