Cheverus is on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Gorham is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Stags will host the Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Cheverus 0.8, Gorham 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Cheverus will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Windham, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Stags walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Eagles on Monday. Those six runs were actually the fewest the Stags have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.
Addison DeRoche made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, Hailey Lamontagne was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
Cheverus kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Gorham never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Scarborough, sneaking past 2-0.
Not much got past Bella McBrady, who gave up just five hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Scarborough off the board.
At the plate, Gorham's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lily Tukey, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
Gorham's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Cheverus, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cheverus hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .466. However, it's not like Gorham struggles in that department as they've averaged .313. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cheverus was able to grind out a solid victory over Gorham in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 3-0. Do the Stags have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
