The Perkins-Tryon Demons will head out on the road to face off against the Seminole Chieftains at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 940 yards in their previous games.
Perkins-Tryon took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Mannford 63-6. The Demons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 52 points or more this season.

Wyatt Atkinson produced another solid effort rushing for 187 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss). Westin Atkinson also helped out with an impressive 124 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Perkins-Tryon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Another reason for the win was Perkins-Tryon's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Jerrett Gibson was especially locked on to Mannford's QB and sacked him three times. Perkins-Tryon received some extra help from Travien Tillis, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Meanwhile, Seminole put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 28-24 W against Bristow. The 28-point effort marked the Chieftains' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
Perkins-Tryon better keep an eye on Donavin Garfield. He was instrumental in Seminole's win, throwing for 359 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.4% of his passes, and also rushing for 108 yards. Garfield's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 108 rushing yards. Jay Ladd did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 136 receiving yards.
Seminole didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Mason Bennett and Garfield.
Perkins-Tryon now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Seminole, their record is now 5-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Perkins-Tryon has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 246.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Seminole struggles in that department as they've been averaging 165 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Perkins-Tryon against Seminole when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 52-8 win. In that contest, the Demons amassed a halftime lead of 30-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
