Aloha won the last time they faced Beaverton and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Beavers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Kalia Kamaile made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Chiyori Brumley was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Sophia Spyker, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Aloha always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Beaverton only posted an OBP of .333.
Aloha's record now sits at 7-9. As for Beaverton, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7.
