Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Eastern walked away with it. They breezed past the School Without Walls Penguins to the tune of 56-29 on Thursday. The Ramblers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 games by 21 points or more this season.
Several Penguins players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adeline King, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and three steals. King is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Joelle Barksdale, who earned six points along with 13 rebounds and four steals.
The victory made it two in a row for Eastern and bumps their season record up to 24-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33 points. As for School Without Walls, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
Eastern's road trip will continue as they head out to face Georgetown Day at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. School Without Walls does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
