The Covenant Christian Cougars can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Lake Country Christian 70-47. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-16.
Covenant Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaron Turner, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Turner hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Boughton, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Country Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Josiah Biddle. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Charles Campbell was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Covenant Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Lake Country Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-18.

As for Lake Country Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Pantego Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. Pantego Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.2 points per game.
