 Leading Midway to victory were  Lathan Whisenton and  Andrew McNair.  Whisenton rushed for 186 yards and three  scores while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, while  McNair threw for 318 yards and three  TDs while completing 92.6% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave  McNair a new career-high in  passer rating (165.4). Midway's leading receiver  Tyler Seith was  McNair's top target yet again, picking up 100 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Shoemaker lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Brandon Brown Jr, who rushed for 97 yards and a pair of  scores on only nine carries, and also picked up 44 receiving yards and one  TD. Another passer making a difference was  De'Mani Dail-Addison, who threw for 176 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes.
Midway's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Shoemaker, their  loss was their first of the  season and also makes their record 5-1.
 We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Midway is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Temple  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 993 yards in their previous games. Meanwhile, Shoemaker will  challenge  rival Killeen  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
