Baseball Recap: St. Anthony Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

St. Anthony entered their tilt with Dieterich on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Movin Maroons a 14-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Aiden Lauritzen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in June of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, St. Anthony got a massive performance out of Will Fearday, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Brock Fearday was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

St. Anthony kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dieterich only managed two hits.

St. Anthony's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Dieterich, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record.

Coming up, St. Anthony will be playing in front of their home fans against Tolono Unity at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dieterich, they will venture away from home to take on Casey-Westfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
