Drexel (Mo.) put up 14 points in the fourth quarter in Saturday's game to seal their 40-14 victory over
Adrian (Mo.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Jash Wheeler in the first quarter, the Bobcats led 20-7 at the half.
Drexel saw its 13-point halftime lead fall to 12 entering the fourth.
Javyn Johnston and
Tyler Allen ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Blackhawks. Johnston scored two touchdowns on the ground and Allen added two as well.
Coming into the game DHS had allowed 18.1 points per game this year. The defense really stepped up, holding Adrian well below its season average of 34.6 points scored per game.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 16-0 win for Drexel.
The loss broke Adrian's two-game winning streak.
