Baseball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Okoboji's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Okoboji barely beat Sibley-Ocheyedan the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 14-5 victory on Monday. Considering the Pioneers have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Okoboji has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Sibley-Ocheyedan, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Okoboji has already played their next match, a 4-3 loss against Estherville Lincoln Central on the 24th. As for Sibley-Ocheyedan, they will challenge Unity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
