Del Rio recap Nov. 7, 2012
La Serna extended the longest winning streak in Del Rio this week by beating California, 20-17. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Santa Fe led the league in scoring this week after putting up 42 points on Pioneer. Christian Lara threw for 118 yards and one touchdown and ran for 224 yards in the win.
La Serna's dynamic duo of Frankie Palmer and Austin Johnson proved tough for the Condors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Palmer threw for 250 yards and two touchdowns and Johnson had 134 yards receiving. MacEnzie Duarte helped La Serna's passing attack out by catching six balls for 34 yards.
El Rancho's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Dons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. JOE SANCHEZ has thrown for 1863 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while JAVIER CARILLO has 43 catches for 658 yards. SANCHEZ also leads the league in rushing with 1297 yards.
