Baseball Recap: Bluffton Gets the Win

Bluffton won against McIntosh County Academy last Wednesday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bobcats walked away with a 6-2 win over the Beaufort Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bobcats also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Bluffton's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dawson Kunze, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that Kunze has launched this season.

Bluffton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Beaufort, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Bluffton will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
