Basketball Recap: Zach Cutler Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Horizon

On Thursday, the Arizona College Prep Knights beat the Horizon Huskies 64-53.

Arizona College Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zach Cutler led the charge by going 7 for 15 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dom Berumen, who posted 12 points and five rebounds.

Arizona College Prep was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Ethan Hayes and Brennan Korn certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Hayes went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points, while Korn went 5 of 12 on his way to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Brackmann, who had nine points.

Arizona College Prep now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Horizon, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Arizona College Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, an 81-66 loss against Centennial on the 13th. As for Horizon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-61 defeat against Desert Mountain on the 13th.
