The third road contest was the charm for the Maiden Blue Devils, as they earned their first road win of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat Burns 56-16 on the road.
Khiara Culliver continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Willow Bass was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Maiden's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Burns, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Maiden will be home for the holidays to greet East Burke at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. East Burke will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Burns, they will head out on the road to face off against McDowell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McDowell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
