The Ferris Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Benbrook Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ferris is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Last Thursday, Ferris came up short against Hillsboro and fell 28-21.
Despite their loss, Ferris saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Bryan Ramirez, who rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all.
Even if they lost, Ferris' defense still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Omari Tyner and his three sacks.
Meanwhile, Benbrook earned a 14-6 win over Venus on Friday.
Benbrook's win bumped their season record to 5-2 while Ferris' loss dropped theirs to 1-6.
Everything came up roses for Ferris against Benbrook in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 63-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ferris since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
