Spanaway Lake got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase Best out in front who threw for 254 yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jay Sumich was another key contributor, picking up 131 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Despite the defeat, Lakes saw an underclassman step up: Tristan Baker gained 89 total yards and a touchdown.
Spanaway Lake's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 4-4. As for Lakes, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
