Ceres has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 3rd. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Johansen Vikings on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Ceres can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 581st, while Johansen are ranked 125th).

Ceres' loss dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Johansen, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-2.

Ceres and Johansen will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bulldogs see the pitch they'll take on Lathrop at 6:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. As for Johansen, their break will end when they face Pitman at 1:00 p.m. on the 30th.
