Baseball Recap: Valders Sets Scoring Season-High Against Sheboygan Falls

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Valders). They put the hurt on the Sheboygan Falls Falcons with a sharp 27-14 victory on Monday. With that win, the Vikings brought their scoring average up to 6.9 runs per game.

Carter Valleskey was incredible, getting on base in four of his seven plate appearances with four stolen bases, six RBI, and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Austin Fisher also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Valders always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .569. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory (which was Valders' fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Sheboygan Falls, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
