Maple Mountain put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Olympus Titans as the Maple Mountain Golden Eagles made off with a 14-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Maple Mountain got a great performance from Kavyn Carter as he pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits.
On the hitting side, AJ Thomas was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 4-for-5. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cy Chrisman, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Maple Mountain's win bumped their record up to 6-0.
Looking ahead, Maple Mountain will square off against Crimson Cliffs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Olympus, they will take on West Field at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
