The Reno Huskies won the last time they faced the Hug Hawks, and things went their way on Thursday too. Reno claimed a resounding 45-13 victory over Hug on the road. The team accrued 38 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Reno got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kindle Rowe out in front who scored six points. Another player making a difference was Natalia Schettler, who scored eight points.
Reno's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Hug, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Reno will be playing in front of their home fans against North Valleys at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (North Valleys is ranked 20th, while Reno is ranked 32nd). Hug will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wooster at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
