Basketball Recap: Concord Extends Winning Streak to Four

Concord entered their tilt with Bronson on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Bronson Vikings by a score of 54-46. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Vikings back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-42 loss.

Concord's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Stevens, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Stevens' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Darrell Dean Jr., who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points and three steals.

Concord was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bronson only racked up eight assists.

Bronson lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Boston Bucklin, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Bucklin is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. Zeb Olson was another key player, putting up 11 points and five boards.

Concord's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Bronson, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Concord wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-33 victory against Sturgis on the 3rd. Bronson has also already played their next matchup (against Brandywine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
