Madison Steppe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Willow Barr was incredible, going 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Stella Snoddy, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and three runs.
