Greencastle extended the longest winning streak in West Central this week by beating Cloverdale, 64-0. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
Greencastle took down the Clovers 64-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Monrovia's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Luke Judson threw for 52 and one touchdown and Alec Bucks had 29 yards receiving. On the ground Nick Fairfield chipped in 128 yards. Logan Fite helped Monrovia's passing attack out by catching one ball for 23 yards.
L J Adams made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs beat North Putnam. The 6-foot-1 senior racked up 2.5 sacks.
Monrovia's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bulldogs feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Judson has thrown for 366 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Austin Benjamin has 10 catches for 174 yards. Tyler Ellis leads the league in rushing with 401 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Josh Buis's team takes on Cascade. The Tiger Cubs are in first place, while the Cadets are in fourth place.
Monrovia made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,950 from 9,410. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 42-20 victory over the Cougars last week.
