Mt. Pleasant won the last time they faced James Lick and things went their way on Wednesday too. Mt. Pleasant put the hurt on James Lick with a sharp 21-11 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Leah Gonzales was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. She is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Ana Arevalo was another key player, going 4-for-5 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Mt. Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for James Lick, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Pleasant will challenge rival Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, James Lick is set to face off against their familiar foe Evergreen Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
