It was a good run, but Haywood unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 68-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dyer County Choctaws.

When it comes to explaining why Haywood lost, don't look at Camariya Woodland. Despite the final result, she shot 50% from the field on her way to 27 points and eight boards. That was a full 48.2% of Haywood's points, marking the sixth time in a row Woodland has posted more than a third of the team's points. Jakhia Hall was another key player, putting up 11 points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Haywood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in seven consecutive matches.

Haywood's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Dyer County, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-14.

Haywood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Dyer County has already played their next contest (against South Gibson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
