Stoever Posts Huge Game in 59-28 Victory
Starting off the list is Wimberley's Cody Stoever, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stoever rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 247 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 passes.
If history really does repeat itself, Stoever might just drop another big game when he faces off against Jarrell on Friday. Stoever threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushed for 59 yards the last time he and the Cougars duked it out back in October of 2023.

While Lincoln Hossfeld delivered a dominant effort on Friday, a win just wasn't in the cards for Salado. Wimberley had no answer to Hossfeld as he rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.7 yards per attempt.
Salado now has a losing record at 3-4. Hossfeld and Salado will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Jarrell at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
