Basketball Recap: Evadale Picks Up 11th Consecutive Win

Evadale waltzed into their game on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the Sabine Pass Sharks 70-36. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 26 points or more this season.

Evadale had a senior duo take command as Warren Brewer dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards and Talon Bennett went 5 for 9 on his way to 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. With that strong performance, Brewer is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Devin Terrell was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Evadale was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sabine Pass only posted six assists.

Several Sharks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kelvion Harris, who posted six points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ja'Lon Aiken, who earned ten points.

Evadale pushed their record up to 24-7 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Sabine Pass, they now have a losing record at 12-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evadale has already played their next contest (against Big Sandy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sabine Pass will square off against Deweyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sabine Pass is facing Deweyville at the right time seeing as Deweyville is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
