Coeur d'Alene extended the longest winning streak in 5A Inland Empire this week by beating Post Falls, 31-14. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Vikings.
Lewiston fell to Lake City 43-19 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Coeur d'Alene's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Austin Lee threw for 221 and 1 touchdown and Chase Blakley had 145 yards receiving. On the ground Lee chipped in 82 yards. Addison Johnson helped Coeur d'Alene's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 47 yards.
Shawn Amos' team's dynamic duo of Lee and Blakley proved tough for the Trojans to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Johnson helped Coeur d'Alene's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 47 yards.
Coeur d'Alene's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Vikings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Gunnar Amos has thrown for 2,120 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Johnson has 33 catches for 596 yards.
The Timberwolves made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,055 from 2,122. The improvement was the result of a 43-19 victory over the Bengals last week.
