The Farragut Admirals will head out on the road to face off against the Mather Rangers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Mather took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Farragut, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Farragut got the win against Westinghouse by a conclusive 12-2. Considering the Admirals have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ben DeMateo made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. DeMateo was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles. Farragut is 9-1 when DeMateo posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise.
In other batting news, Farragut got a massive performance out of Robert DeMateo, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Freddy Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.
Farragut always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Mather lost 12-3 to Lake View on Monday. The Rangers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mather saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Goytia, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Devin Monzon also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Farragut's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Mather, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
Mather's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Farragut hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. It's a different story for Mather, though, as they've only averaged .233. Will they be able to contain Farragut's hitters?
Farragut came up short against Mather in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, falling 8-3. Can the Admirals avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
