Skyview had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Emmett on Tuesday. Skyview was the clear victor by a 7-1 margin over Emmett. The contest marked the Hawks' most dominant win of the season so far.

Elijah Strong looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ledger Downs was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

The victory was the third in a row for Skyview, bringing their record up to 5-2-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Emmett, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Skyview will welcome Caldwell at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyview is facing Caldwell at the right time seeing as Caldwell is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Emmett, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 defeat against Bishop Kelly on the 26th.
