Quartz Hill had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Littlerock on Friday. The Royals' pitcher stepped up to hand the Lobos a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Royals, who have now won seven contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Quartz Hill let Emily Cowan and Leanna Medina run wild. Cowan went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Medina scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those three RBI gave Cowan a new career-high. Brooklyn Terpstra was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Quartz Hill pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Littlerock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

The Royals are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Littlerock, they will face off against Antelope Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos will also cruise into their next match with the timing on their side: the Antelopes will have lost four straight heading into Tuesday's game.
