Meanwhile, after only 29 points in their last match, Newton County Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Laurel Christian on Friday. Newton County Academy secured a 55-51 W over Laurel Christian.

The win got Newton County Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Sylva Bay Academy, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Sylva Bay Academy against Newton County Academy in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 43-16 win. In that game, Sylva Bay Academy amassed a halftime lead of 32-3, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
