The Purvis Tornadoes won the last time they faced the Sacred Heart Crusaders, and things went their way on Monday too. Purvis blew past Sacred Heart 57-21 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Purvis has managed all season.
It was another big night for Systren Eliza Elenus, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The match was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillee Crider, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Purvis is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Sacred Heart, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purvis won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Marion at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. Sacred Heart will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mize at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
