Basketball Recap: Front Range Baptist Takes a Loss

Front Range Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 41-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dawson School Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 35-28 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Front Range Baptist lost, don't look at Emma Gerrard. Despite the final result, she went 6 of 13 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gerrard a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadyn Woods, who posted seven points in addition to 12 rebounds and eight assists.

Leading Dawson School to victory were Lily Sullivan and Rodas Tewelde. Sullivan went 6 of 13 on her way to 17 points and seven rebounds, while Tewelde dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Front Range Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Dawson School, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Front Range Baptist will face off against Caliche at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dawson School, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 44-25 defeat against Stargate School on the 11th.
