WestSide is 9-1 against Man since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The WestSide Renegades will head out on the road to face off against the Man Hillbillies at 1:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (WestSide has eight straight wins, Man has 15 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Independence typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday WestSide proved too difficult a challenge. They snuck past the Patriots with a 46-41 victory.
Meanwhile, Man suffered a tough 67-46 defeat at the hands of Meadow Bridge on Friday. Man was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-19.
WestSide pushed their record up to 11-5 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.7 points per game. As for Man, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Everything came up roses for WestSide against Man in their previous matchup back in January of 2020 as the squad secured a 57-30 victory. Does WestSide have another victory up their sleeve, or will Man turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
