Xavier Dias and Lorenzo Warren provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Winnfield. The connection went for 78 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 3 this season.
The Tigers extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Many, 49-27. The victory was the fifth in a row for Winnfield.
Many's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dias has thrown for 935 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Chris Hopkins has 13 catches for 352 yards. Cortez Sweet leads the league in rushing with 1143 yards.
A big matchup in 2A District 3 this week will be when Holy Savior Menard takes on the Tigers. The Eagles are in second place, while Many is in third place.
Andy Pyles' team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on Jess Curtis' team.
