After a string of six wins, Sycamore's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. It was close but no cigar for Sycamore as they fell 67-64 to the Ottawa Pirates. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Spartans, who fell 63-60 when the teams previously met last month.
Sycamore's overall record fell to 19-8. The win makes it two in a row for Ottawa and bumps their record up to 15-8.
Sycamore is on the road again Friday and plays against Kaneland. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 32 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close contest. Ottawa has the luxury of staying at home another game and will welcome LaSalle-Peru Friday. Ottawa will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
