The St. Marys Blue Devils stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Wirt County 66-39 at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-19.
St. Marys was led to victory by Addie "r" Davis and Brynnley Bulluck. Davis scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four blocks, while Bulluck dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Bulluck is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Callie Powell, who scored seven points along with seven assists and four steals.
St. Marys pushed their record up to 13-4 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points per game. As for Wirt County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
St. Marys will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Williamstown at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Williamstown is ranked 13th, while St. Marys is ranked 15th). As for Wirt County, they will head out on the road to take on Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calhoun is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
