The Southside Christian Sabres will take on the Carolina Academy Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southside Christian let Reeves Israel and Tyler Bolemon run wild. Israel went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Bolemon went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Israel a new career-high. Kaden Graham was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Southside Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Carolina Academy couldn't beat Greenville Tech Charter on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Trojans came up short against the Warriors, falling 18-8.
Christian Bedolla made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Stelios Karambasis, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Southside Christian's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Carolina Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
Carolina Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Southside Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349.
