The Waynesville Spartans will head out on the road to square off against the Carlisle Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Waynesville has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 241 points over their last four contests.
Even though Valley View scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Waynesville still came out on top. Waynesville secured a 61-56 W over the Spartans.
Meanwhile, Carlisle entered their tilt with the Panthers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Carlisle simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Panthers 59-32 on the road. With Carlisle ahead 34-13 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Waynesville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Carlisle, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Waynesville came up short against the Indians when the teams last played back in January, falling 53-47. Can Waynesville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
